Learn A Few Tips For Labeling Barbeque Sauce Before You Start Selling It To The Public

Blog

If you have an award-winning barbecue sauce that you want to start selling locally, you need to first bottle it and then label it properly. When bottling the product, you want to choose a bottle that is large enough to provide consumers with enough barbecue sauce to use with multiple meals. You can choose from plastic or glass bottles, however, plastic may be the best option because you do not have to worry about the bottles breaking when you transport them. The labeling is a more complicated process. The following guide walks you through a few tips to follow when having a product label created for your barbecue sauce.

List the Exact Ingredients You Use in the Sauce

When you have a product label created for a food item, you need to list all of the ingredients that are used to make the product. You do not need to list the quantities though. You need to list the ingredients so that someone does not ingest anything that they are allergic to.

List the Nutritional Information for the Sauce

Take the time to determine the exact nutritional information for the sauce. You need to list the service size for the product, as well as how many calories, carbohydrates, fats, and protein are in the product. You may want to take the sauce to professional food handlers to have them determine the intricate details of the nutritional information for you.

Add the Storage Information to the Labels

When someone buys sauce, they need to know if it is shelf stable or if it needs to be refrigerated after being opened. Some sauces have ingredients in them that make them shelf stable and some do not. Your consumers need to know how to store your sauce so that it does not spoil and cause someone to become ill when they ingest it.

Choose an Eye-Catching Design

You need to choose an eye-catching label layout design that will grab the attention of consumers when they pass by it. It is best to choose a colorful label if you can afford it. The more colors the label has in it, the more you will have to pay.

Once the labels are created, place them on the bottles yourself to save money. Until you are selling a large quantity of the sauce, you should be able to handle most of the labeling on your own quickly and easily.

Learning About Printing Services

Hello, I am Maeve Boyle. The success of my business relies on my ability to spread the word about products and services I provide. I have found that the best way to tell the community about my business is through direct mail flyers. I design all of the flyers on my computer and have them created by a local printing company. The printing company allows me to pick the paper weight and finish used for the completed advertising materials. I like to pick a paper type with a texture and finish that people gravitate towards. I will talk about all of the different types of paper and inks used in the printing process. I hope you will use the information on my site to secure flyer prints for your business. Thanks.
